At CaliGobi, you can experience the desert your way.

1. Stay in a traditional Mongolian ger

   Sleep inside a real ger, set up and ready for you. Send a DM to the CaliGobi Instagram page to book a ger. Limited spots available.

2. Arrive at a ready-to-go tent

   Pitched and waiting when you get here, with nothing to carry in. Each tent is for two people. Purchase your rental through Eventbrite. Bring your own blankets, sheets, pillow and other essentials.

3. Bring your own camp tent

   Choose your spot in the camping area and set up your own. Purchase your camping spot through Eventbrite.

4. Stay in your RV

   Park up and stay with us for the whole weekend. We have RV spots available, but there are no hookups, so make sure your water tank is filled before you arrive. The nearest RV charge and support station is 24 minutes away.

5. Choose a nearby hotel

   There are hotels a short drive from the gate for anyone who would rather sleep indoors. Here are the nearby hotel options.

If you're staying on site

Festival check-in begins at 6:00 PM on Friday, September 25. All guests must check in with festival staff before entering the camping area.

• Portable restrooms will be available.
• There are no showers at the campground.
• Cooking is not allowed anywhere in the camping area.
• Gas stoves, grills, open flames, candles, fireworks and other fire-starting equipment are prohibited.
• Sharp items or anything that could cause injury are not allowed.
• Bring your own bedding, sleeping bags, pillows, flashlights and other personal camping essentials.

These precautions matter especially here: the festival takes place in a hot, dry desert environment with a high fire risk.

When you check in for the festival, staff will verify your festival pass and give you a parking pass. Please display it as directed and follow all instructions from the parking team.

RVs, trucks and oversized vehicles may park only in designated areas. Guests arriving in these vehicles must check in with festival staff before parking.

Parking is on natural desert terrain and may include dirt, sand or uneven surfaces. Please drive slowly and carefully.

Parking space is limited, so we strongly encourage guests to carpool wherever possible.

CaliGobi takes place in the open desert. Days may be hot and sunny, while evenings can turn cool and windy.

We recommend bringing

• Comfortable layers for changing temperatures
• A warm jacket for nighttime
• A refillable water bottle
• Sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat
• Closed-toe walking shoes or boots
• A headlamp or flashlight
• A portable phone charger
• Personal medications and toiletries
• Camping gear, bedding and sleeping essentials
• A dust mask or bandana
• Ear protection for children or noise-sensitive guests
• Your Mongolian deel or traditional outfit, if you have one
• An open mind and respect for the land

Please label your belongings, and avoid bringing valuables that could be lost or damaged.

CaliGobi will feature Mongolian food, festival favorites, refreshing drinks and offerings from independent vendors.

Outside food and drinks are not allowed inside the festival area. Cooking is not permitted anywhere in the campground, including gas stoves, portable burners, grills and open flames.

Food and drinks are available for purchase during scheduled vendor hours. Vegetarian and other dietary options vary by vendor. Guests with allergies or specific dietary needs should speak directly with each vendor before ordering.

CaliGobi runs from Friday, September 25 through Sunday, September 27, 2026.

• Friday: check-in and doors open at 6:00 PM
• Saturday: gates open at 8:00 AM
• Sunday: the festival ends at 3:00 PM, and all guests must leave the campground by 4:00 PM

Please check the schedule again before you travel, as performance and activity times may change.

CaliGobi welcomes families and young nomads.

A Kids Camp activity area will be available for children ages 3–9, with staff running supervised activities during designated hours. Parents or guardians must register their child, stay on the festival grounds and be reachable when contacted.

Children and teenagers ages 10–18 must remain with their parent or legal guardian throughout the festival.

The festival takes place on natural desert terrain and includes loud music, nighttime performances, animals, fire performances and changing weather. Parents and guardians remain responsible for their children's safety and supervision throughout the event.

Families are encouraged to bring hearing protection, sun protection, warm nighttime layers, water bottles, snacks for dietary needs and any personal items their children may need.

We want CaliGobi to feel welcoming and accessible to every guest.

Because Bataar Camp sits in a natural desert environment, some areas include dirt, sand, rocks, uneven surfaces or limited lighting.

If you have specific accessibility needs, please write to us before attending so we can give you accurate information and help you plan your visit.

Our rules are here to keep CaliGobi safe, respectful and enjoyable for everyone.

Prohibited items and activities

• No sharp items or weapons
• No outside food or drinks inside the festival area
• No cooking anywhere on the campground
• No gas stoves, portable burners, grills or cooking equipment
• No open flames, candles, fireworks or fire-starting materials
• No unauthorized fires of any kind
• No entering restricted, staff-only or private areas

Guest conduct

All guests are expected to:

• Respect fellow guests, artists, staff, vendors, animals and the local community
• Follow instructions from festival, parking and security staff
• Respect the desert and leave no trace
• Dispose of trash in designated areas
• Keep children properly supervised
• Use only designated parking, camping and activity areas
• Participate responsibly and look after one another
• Wear their festival wristband throughout the event

Unsafe, disruptive, threatening, discriminatory or disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated. Guests who break festival rules may be asked to leave without a refund.

The festival runs from September 25–27, 2026.

What time is check-in?

Festival and camping check-in begins at 6:00 PM on Friday, September 25.

What time is check-out?

All guests must check out and leave the campground by 4:00 PM on Sunday, September 27.

Is camping available?

Yes. You can bring your own tent, rent a two-person tent that is set up for you, book a traditional Mongolian ger, or stay in your RV. Hotels are also a short drive away. See Where to Stay.

Are showers available?

No. Portable restrooms are provided, but there are no showers at the campground.

Can I cook at my campsite?

No. Cooking equipment, gas stoves, grills and open flames are prohibited throughout the campground.

Is parking available?

Yes. Free on-site parking is included. You receive a parking pass when festival staff check your ticket.

Can I bring an RV or oversized vehicle?

Yes. RVs, trucks and oversized vehicles must park in a designated area, and you can stay in your RV for the weekend. There are no hookups, so fill your water tank before you arrive. Please check in with festival staff when you arrive.

Is CaliGobi family-friendly?

Yes. A Kids Camp activity area is available for children ages 3–9 during designated hours. Guests ages 10–18 must remain with their parent or guardian.

Will food and drinks be available?

Yes. Mongolian food, drinks and other festival offerings are available to buy from participating vendors. Outside food and drinks are not permitted in the festival area.
